Parent Serving Opportunities

Leader / Speaking

Role: Teach and lead the mid or high school group portion of youth group.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver Bible-based, engaging messages that connect to students’ everyday lives.
  • Set the spiritual tone and direction for the group.
  • Encourage students to grow in their faith and take the next steps with Jesus.
  • Be available to pray with and mentor students outside of teaching time.


Small Group Assistant / Buddy

Role: Support small group leaders by coming alongside students.

Responsibilities:

  • Sit with and engage students during small group discussions.
  • Help quieter or new students feel included and heard.
  • Assist with activities, note-taking, or scripture reading.
  • Build friendships with students and model Christ-like community.


Greeter / Check-In

Role: Create a welcoming environment for students as they arrive.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet students and families with warmth and energy.
  • Help students sign in, answer questions, and direct them to the right place.
  • Be intentional in remembering names and faces.
  • Watch for new students and make sure they are introduced and connected right away.


Cook / Food Team

Role: Prepare meals or snacks that make youth group a fun, inviting place.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, serve, and clean up food in a safe and timely way.
  • Offer options that work for dietary needs when possible.
  • Use food time as an opportunity to connect with students relationally.
  • Model hospitality as a reflection of Jesus’ love.


Chaperone

Role: Ensure safety and support during events, trips, or gatherings.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and positive environment for all students.
  • Assist leaders with logistics like transportation, supervision, and crowd control.
  • Be attentive to student needs and step in to help when necessary.
  • Participate in activities and encourage students while maintaining boundaries.
